Litigation And Patent Counseling

Mr. Peterson is active in the firm's litigation practice, including representing clients in federal courts beginning with the pre-suit investigation and pleadings practice, up and through expert discovery and dispositive motion practice. His practice also includes patent opinion and patent counseling and strategy.

Previous Experience

Prior to joining RMMS, Mr. Peterson worked as a biologist in the Immunology department at Merck & Co., Inc. While at Merck, he expressed and purified proteins, established cell-based and in vitro assays, and screened compounds and antibodies in pursuit of drug candidates for treating osteoarthritis, inflammatory pain and anemia. Prior to joining Merck, he performed research at the Indiana University School of Medicine and School of Dentistry in the areas of bone marrow transplantation, infective endocarditis, and oral Streptococcal infection. Mr. Peterson also taught several courses as an adjunct lecturer and instructor in the Chemistry department while at Indiana University - Purdue University, Indianapolis.
