Intellectual Property Litigation

Mr. Chamcharas has been involved in a wide variety of intellectual property cases, including matters involving pharmaceutical formulations, biomedical devices, internet software, and flame-retardant coatings, among others. He has experience at all levels of litigation, from evaluating patents, to drafting pleadings, and drafting claim construction and summary judgment briefs.

Mr. Chamcharas also has experience drafting patent applications, performing patent surveys, and negotiating and drafting licensing terms with third parties.

Previous Experience

Prior to joining Rakoczy Molino Mazzochi Siwik LLP, Mr. Chamcharas was an associate with DLA Piper LLP. Mr. Chamcharas also served as a Judicial Extern to the Honorable Rebecca R. Pallmeyer, United States District Court Judge for the Northern District of Illinois.

Before entering the legal profession, Mr. Chamcharas worked as a Research Engineer for Air Liquide, Inc., where he researched the properties of semiconductor precursors using differential scanning calorimetry, IR and UV/vis spectroscopy, gas and liquid chromatography, Karl-Fischer titration, scanning electron microscopy, and particle counting techniques, and he performed experiments involving chemical vapor deposition, solvent purification, and chemical distribution systems, among others. Mr. Chamcharas also previously worked as a Staff Engineer for Tomoegawa (U.S.A.) Inc.
