Yichen Cao, who holds a Ph.D. in pharmaceutical sciences, is a Technical Advisor at Rakoczy Molino Mazzochi Siwik LLP.

Dr. Cao assists with preparation of opinions in the pharmaceutical, chemical, and related fields. He also provides technical litigation support in a wide range of cases, including Hatch-Waxman pharmaceutical cases. Dr. Cao has experience in the field of pharmaceutical dosage form design, controlled release mechanisms, pharmaceutical manufacturing and processing, active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) process development, analytical testing, stability work, pharmacokinetics, pharmacology and related fields.

Previous Experience

Prior to joining Rakoczy Molino Mazzochi Siwik LLP, Dr. Cao worked as a scientist at Coldstream Laboratories, Inc. where is work included formulation development for early safety studies, prototype formulations for clinical trials, preliminary process development, and commercial formulation development. Prior to obtaining his Ph.D., he held a position as a graduate research assistant at University of Kentucky in the laboratory of Professor Bradley Anderson where he obtained considerable experience with peptides, including peptide folding in organic solvents and the synthesis and characterization of peptides.
