Katherine J. Kim is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and is an associate at Rakoczy Molino Mazzochi Siwik LLP.  She holds a Master of Science in Chemistry.

Ms. Kim is involved in Hatch-Waxman patent infringement suits involving prescription pharmaceutical drugs.  She also is involved with the firm’s patent counseling work.

Previous Experience

Prior to going to law school, Ms. Kim worked both as an analytical chemist at Allergan and Gillead Sciences, as well as a polymer chemist at Novocell, Inc.  As a chemist, Ms. Kim obtained experience synthesizing and purifying organic polymers for cell encapsulation technology, as well as in analyzing pharmaceutical and biological compounds.  Prior to joining Rakoczy Molino Mazzochi Siwik LLP, Ms. Kim prosecuted patent applications in various art fields.
